Implementing retailer food safety standards

Implementing SQF 2000

SQF 2000 is one of the internationally accredited food safety standards now required by many global (including US) retailers to be implemented by their suppliers to ensure the food safety, quality and integrity of their food supply.  This course is designed for food business that are implementing SQF 2000.  The course objectives are to develop an understanding of the need to improve food safety and quality and to develop a common understanding of the application of the requirements described in the SQF 2000 code.  It provides the knowledge to enable effective implementation of quality systems to meet SQF Code requirements.

How to Implement the BRC Global Standard (Food)

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Standard is one of the internationally accredited food safety standards now required by many global (including US) retailers to be selected and implemented by their suppliers.  This course explains the history, content and application of the current issue of the BRC Global Standard (Food) and effective management of the standard to ensure the food safety, quality and integrity of the food supply chain.  It provides practical knowledge for technical and production professionals from food manufacturing businesses that are intending to implement BRC to meet their retail customer requirements.

Implementing the International Food Standard (IFS)

The International Food Standard (IFS) is one of the internationally accredited food safety standards now required by many global (including US) retailers to be selected and implemented by their suppliers.  This training course provides necessary knowledge of the content, implementation, and management of IFS, required by any food business intending to implement IFS to meet retail customer requirements.  IFS provides the management system for food businesses to control the safety, quality and integrity of the products through the supply chain, and provide assurance to retail customers.

Implementing ISO22000:2005

ISO 22000:2005 is an international standard that specifies the requirements for a food safety management system where food businesses need to demonstrate control of food safety hazards. ISO 22000 is increasingly utilized by international food manufacturers as the standard of choice and for benchmarking the performance of different sites and locations. This course is designed for food safety professionals who are involved in implementing or auditing the ISO food standard. Prior knowledge of HACCP and quality management systems (eg ISO 9001) is recommended.
